There is a saying by an anonymous author, which says, "Until the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of changing, people will stay the same." Which means that until you are so miserable in your present condition, so tired of the way you are, you probably won't change. Why is this so? There are many reasons and most likely at the top of the list would be denial, selfishness, laziness and self-pity. Yet, it does not have to be this way. Here are some tips:
2). Realize that you can change but it will take a commitment that will pay off in the end.
3). Realize that change rarely happens without the help of friends, family and especially God in your life. Reach out!
4). Realize that change can occur within a short period of time. Most experts say that a new habit can form within 3 months.
Lastly, it will be painful to change, but a lot more painful to stay the same.
